"The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) is in shock to learn the sad news of the death of the former central defender of Violette Athletic Club and the national football team, Alix Auciel, who died yesterday Sunday, June 11 in the morning in Port au Prince following an illness felt 48 hours earlier

Alix, who was 52 years old and who only knew one club, Violette AC, throughout his career, was an influential member of the golden generation who had allowed Haitian football to return to the international scene, in the youth categories, under the direction of Professor Patrice Dumont, on the occasion of the qualifiers for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.

He was also part of the group of selected Haitians who had played in the qualifiers for the USA 94 World Cup under the direction of Ze Nono Jean Baptiste.

While waiting to know the date of his funeral, the FHF offers its condolences to his family, his parents, to Violette AC, to all his friends, as well as to the big family of National Football.
