iciHaiti - Cholera : Training of Mobile Rapid Response Teams

Due to the recent floods, there has been an upsurge in suspected cholera cases noted by the Ministry in the West, South, South-East, Grand'Anse, North and North-East departments.

With the aim of reducing the incidence and limiting the spread of cholera, the Health Decentralization Support Unit of the Ministry of Public Health, which is responsible for facilitating departmental coordination of the fight against cholera, with its partners (CMMB, UNICEF, PAHO/WHO), organized a week of activities in the North-East department.

During this week, there was the training and retraining of the Mobile Rapid Intervention Teams (EMIRA) teams, mobilized in this department, followed by training in control supervision and the implementation of alert and response at community level and the evaluation of support structures.
