iciHaiti - BNE : Exhibition dedicated to natural sites and endemic birds

The National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE), presents at the entrance of its offices the exhibition "BNE outside the walls" highlighting scientific panels designed to help the curious who frequent the area, to appreciate the beauty of nature that surrounds us. They highlight the ecological importance, the unique biodiversity of our country and invite reflection on the need to preserve our environment.

These panels are a restitution of several years of work, but also a reflection on the medicinal plants which have helped to fight, among other things, against Covid-19 by drawing on traditional medicine.

These panels also provide detailed information on natural sites, highlighting their ecological importance, their unique biodiversity and invite reflection on the conservation measures to be put in place.

In addition, a whole section is dedicated to endemic birds of Haiti.

Passionate about nature, simply curious wanting to better understand this universality, everyone will be able to find what they are looking for. These panels are real resources for deepening your knowledge and developing an awareness of the importance of preserving the environment.

Under the direction of the General Manager, Érol Josué, the technical team of the BNE contributed to the creation of these panels. Special thanks to the Ministry of Culture and to Marilise Rouzier and the famous wildlife photographer René Durocher for their important contribution.
