The Ministry of Culture and Communication (MCC) salutes the memory of the illustrious Haitian actor Théodore Beaubrun alias Languichatte on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his death in 1998 at the age of 79 (June 28, 1998) consequences of Parkinson's disease.

Born on December 26, 1918 in Port-au-Prince, this extraordinary comedian and actor marked Haitian culture for several decades. Even today, his sketches, his puns, his style and his emblematic character, Languichatte Débordus, remain engraved in the collective memory.

On this memorable occasion, the Ministry of Culture and Communication remembers him with admiration for his immense talent and for the gigantic work he left us as a legacy. "La maison de Baca", "Ti Zoute", "La Vie nan New-York", "Languichatte au XXème siècle" is and remain classics that have stood the test of time by painting our flaws and our morals.

On June 28, the Ministry of Culture and Communication pays tribute to Théodore Beaubreu, this former director of the National Theater (1954), and to the various members of his Languichatte troupe who made their first performance in 1942.
