Saturday, July 22, the Police thwarted a kidnapping, in the extended Santo 25 area, where 6 people including an engineer were released, following an attempt by individuals traveling in several vehicles.

The release of these hostages, the recovery and confiscation of five (5) vehicles (2 cars and 3 motorcycles) are the result of a closure that was set up by the Police, in the Beudet area located in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets.

The advancing patrols of the Corps of Motorized Intervention Brigades (CBIM) of Meyer, Cesselesse, Public Security of Croix-des-Bouquets and Marassa forced the bandits to abandon the vehicles and flee, freeing their hostages.

Note that about fifteen bandits, aboard several motorcycles, involved in this kidnapping also tried to kidnap the victims, according to local residents.

After this police intervention, the victims of this kidnapping were taken care of by the Sub-Police station of Cesselesse.
