Sunday July 23, 2023, following repeated complaints against unidentified individuals, for thefts perpetrated on people leaving banks, the last of which dates back to Friday July 21, 2023, the Police arrested Sadrac Sainto in Meyer, a suburb of Jacmel, accused of theft.

Arrived at the Jacmel police station, the investigators searched Sadrac Sainto and found a sum of 57,000 gourdes in his possession. Clearly identified by the victim of the theft of July 21, 2023, Sadrac Sainto in his first statements, confessed that the 57,000 Gourdes represented part of the stolen money.

A tracker brand vehicle, yellow, registered DD-11466 piloted by the thief, was seized and confiscated at the Jacmel police station.
