The Forum of Former Prime Ministers of Haiti (FAPM) learned with infinite sadness of the death of former Prime Minister Jean Jacques Honorat, which occurred on the night of Tuesday July 25 to Wednesday July 26, 2023, at the age of 92 years, following a long and courageously endured illness.

A trained agronomist, human rights defender and devoted family man, Jean Jacques Honorat served as Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Haiti from October 11, 1991 to June 19, 1992.

"In this painful circumstance, the Forum of Former Prime Ministers of Haiti (FAPM), presents its sincere condolences to his wife, Mrs. Yvelie Honorat, to his children, to all the members of his family and to all those who are affected by this loss.

We will forever remember his commitment to Haiti as well as his legacy as a leader and a man of conviction."
