Me Pierre Elioth Paul Commissioner of the Government near the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Petit-Goâve, in a letter addressed to Commissioner Pierre Bellamy Samedy, head of the Police Station of Petit-Goâve, asks him to implement several measures of security in order to allow peaceful citizens to move freely throughout the Commune of Petit-Goâve during activities related to the celebration of the patronal feast, Notre Dame de l'Assomption and to prevent any act of nuisance likely harm the property and lives of others.

Measures to adopt:

1- Take all measures to temporarily suspend gun licenses in Petit-Goâve for a reasonable period;

2- Intensify control points on the RN#2 and place fixed points (PF) at strategic locations in the city […];

3- Carry surveillance over all persons who intend to stay during the patronal feast;

4- Ask any individual to show his identity document;

5- Question all those who do not have an identity document;

In addition, the Government Commissioner recalls that the "Lorest Club and Pivert Club" are prohibited from operating until further notice.
