iciHaiti - Retaliation : The Onaville Police station, attacked, looted and burned
Saturday September 30, 2023, in the afternoon, heavily armed individuals members of the Canaan gang led by Jeff Larose, after blocking the main roads in the area to prevent the arrival of police reinforcements, attacked, looted and set fire to the police station (sub-station) of Onaville (Commune of Croix-des-Bouquets), near the RN#3.

According to Spokesman Lionel Lazarre of the National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA), it was an attack in retaliation for the arrest of two of their members by the police authorities. He specifies that no police officer was injured, the agents understaffed had been evacuated to not be killed...

In addition to the police station, these individuals set fire to the police station generator and set fire to 2 vehicles near the police station.

No official report of the damage has been communicated so far.
