Thanks to the support of the municipalities of Tabarre and Cité Soleil in Port-au-Prince in these efforts. For the regeneration of the Millet Canal (also known as the BLTS Canal), with its banks now stabilized, a 1km linear segment was cleaned and 20,000 cubic meters of sediment and rubbish were moved to the certified Truitier landfill.

The biggest challenge is the ongoing maintenance required to keep the canal in good condition and mitigate the risk of future flooding.
