iciHaiti - Insecurity : The UEH denounces the kidnapping of student Jalson Verilus
The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) learned with great frustration of the kidnapping followed by sequestration of Jalson Vérilus, a student in political science and international relations at the National Institute of Administration, Management and Advanced International Studies (INAGHEI) which occurred at the beginning of the week at Avenue Christophe in Port-au-Prince.
The Rectorate denounces and condemns with the utmost rigor this new kidnapping of a member of the university community. He also calls for the immediate and unconditional release of student Jalson Vérilus.
The Rectorate provides all its support to the student’s family, to the entire university community and to that of INAGHEI in particular. Once again, he regrets that the population in general and the UEH in particular continue to count among their ranks victims of the kidnapping industry and the overall insecurity which is in full swing in Haiti. He believes that it is time to stop this descent into hell of our dear Nation. Haiti must be reborn and we must act together to make this rebirth possible.
