iciHaiti - Obituary : Jean Michel St-Victor passed away
The Ministry of Culture is deeply touched by the death of Jean Michel St-Victor, alias “Zouzoul” at the age of 78, which occurred at his home on Sunday December 10, 2023, in Florida.

Jean Michel St Victor, one of the well-known voices of "Shleu-Shleu" then "Skah-Shah Number One", began his career in Haiti with the musical group "Les Shleu-Shleu". He then joined the "Skah-Shah" orchestra in New York. In tandem with singer Jean Elie Telfort aka "Cubano", Zouzoul has thrilled several generations of music lovers with numerous successful musical compositions and made thousands of Compas fanatics dance.

The Ministry of Culture presents its condolences to the family, relatives, friends and fans of Zouzoul. The MCC also extends its sympathies to the members of Shleu-Shleu, Skah-Shah Number One, as well as to those in the Haitian music sector.
