The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has provided us with its summary statistical assessment of the pre-hospital care of various emergency cases carried out during the month of November 2023.

Of the 915 cases supported by the CAN in November 2023 (+6.64% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-40930-icihaiti-health-report-of-the-national-ambulance-center-october-2023.html ), transfers (42%) and obstetric emergencies (28%) were the two most important items.

Number and types of interventions:

2 confirmed cases of cholera;

13 suspected cases of cholera;

67 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);

54 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);

252 obstetric emergencies;

63 Public Road Accidents;

383 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);

12 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);

4 gunshot wounds;

7 stab wounds;

3 cases of burns

55 various conditions (faintness, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc...)

Of the 915 cases supported by the CAN : 546 interventions took place in the West, 102 in Artibonite, 91 in the North-West, 58 in the North/North-East, 63 in the South-East, 32 in the South, 17 in Nippes, 6 in Grand'Anse.
