iciHaiti - Training : Strengthening of Reading and Cultural Animation Centers

Friday, December 15, the National Book Directorate (DNL), with the support of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), launched a three-day training course for the benefit of around forty facilitators and volunteers who intervene in the animation and management of Reading and Cultural Animation Centers (CLAC) in the North, North-East, Artibonite and West.

The launching ceremony took place in the presence of the departmental director of the North of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, David Toussaint; the advisor to the Director General of the DNL, Ernst Saint-Louis; the acting director of Books and public reading, Pierre Antoine Joseph; from the coordinator of CLAC and Municipal Libraries, Nedje Francois Jacques.

In his speech for the occasion, the advisor to the Director General, Ernst Saint Louis, after the usual thanks, insisted on the determination of the General Directorate of the DNL to strengthen the technical capacities of the actors concerned so that they can better serve their respective communities.

Let's remember that the strengthening of Reading and Cultural Animation Centers is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Culture and Communication (MCC) and constitutes the spearhead of the National Book Directorate in its mission to promote books and public reading across the country.
