The International Organization for Migration (IOM Haiti) received a visit from Maciej Popowski, Director General of Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid of the European Union (ECHO).

As part of this visit, Popowski went to one of the most representative sites of displaced people, in order to gain insight into the dramatic situation in which internally displaced people live, by meeting and interacting directly with vulnerable displaced people and with local authorities.

In a context where insecurity persists, the generosity of support provided by ECHO allows IOM to continue working to provide vital assistance to those who need it most. However, much remains to be done with more resources.

This visit represents ECHO's wholehearted commitment to saving the lives of victims of violence in Haiti, promoting their protection amid this multidimensional crisis.

ECHO and IOM stand with the Haitian people to build a brighter and brighter future for displaced people in Haiti.
