Monday, December 18, 2023, Rector Fritz Deshomme of the State University of Haiti (UEH) installed Dr. Jean Waddimir Gustinvil as the new Director of the "Languages, Discourse Representations (LADIREP)" research laboratory. He replaces Dr. Jhon Picard Byron in this position who spent nearly 8 years at the head of this research group.

The ceremony took place at the Rectorate of the UEH in the presence of members of the University Council, the Vice-rectors for academic affairs and research, the outgoing Director of LADIREP, the former rector of the UEH, Professor Jean Vernet Henry, members of LADIREP.

Created in 2013, LADIREP is a research laboratory attached to the Faculty of Ethnology which brings together researchers from different specialties in the human and social sciences. He is particularly interested in the fields of social anthropology, linguistics and psychosociology.

Should be noted that LADIREP is internationally recognized as a laboratory authorized to supervise theses.
