Construction, rehabilitation and maintenance work on roads and structures continues in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince and in various municipalities in the West department.

For the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the Western Departmental Directorate is particularly focused on the rehabilitation work on the Maïs Gâté road towards Gérald Bataille.

Several sections of this important route are already covered with hydraulic concrete. Operations related to the recovery and construction of the gutter are in the execution phase. A set of interventions that promote a return to normal activities, particularly traffic in the area.

Furthermore, on the road leading to Carrefour Rita in the commune of Tabarre, hundreds of linear meters of gutter have already been built on both sides of the road. Carried out under management, this capital site is receiving backfilling work while awaiting the wearing course.

However, at Boulevard 15 Octobre demarcated from Carrefour Clercine towards Cazeau, the DDO is heading towards the work which should lead to the concreting of approximately 300 linear meters.

In addition, the interventions leading to the rehabilitation of rue Alfred Vieux, in Delmas 95, as well as Street Maurepas, in Delmas 60, are taking giant steps. Beyond the construction of the gutter, the technicians are working on preparing the roadway which is at 80% of its state of progress.

It should be noted that many secondary projects are in the execution phase. The DDO maintains its position to complete them for better circulation.
