The year 2023 is coming to an end and chaos continues to strike all layers of Haitian society. Each of us is shaken deep within and, in this particular period, more than one wonders whether there is reason to evoke the notions of hope, the future, renewal and Peace, or even of Christmas joy.

Some have lost this deep sense of our proverbial national pride as well as their patriotic attachment. Intensely disturbed, others even doubt their spiritual convictions and wonder if the Creator would have erased the name of Haiti from the site of creation and banished the Haitian people from the number of His children.

At this dark hour in national life, neither celebration nor the dawn of 2024 or the change of seasons augur a brightening in the Haitian sky. However, I believe that it is up to every Haitian to draw on the spirit of Christmas: inspiration, strength and courage to re-immerse our soul in the humanitarian vision of our ancestors in order to reinvent the real fraternity on which our future depends. of people. In this way, we can sincerely express wishes for hope and renewal for ourselves, our families, our country and all of humanity.

In this spirit, I wish each of us to now be able to surpass ourselves and dare to love ourselves to finally act together in order to recover our youth, rehabilitate our people, rebuild our country and rebuild our nation.

2024 will be the year of reconquests,

Of resurrection of memory and elevation of the Haitian soul.
