iciHaiti - CONATEL : Outlook 2024
In a note dated January 3rd, 2024, engineer Joses Jean Baptiste, Director General of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) expressed his deep gratitude to telecommunications operators and service providers. The level of engagement and collaboration has been crucial to telecommunications regulatory activity in Haiti.

"At the start of 2024, CONATEL is already enthusiastically anticipating an agenda for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the digital economy rich in exciting challenges : migration to digital television, cyber security, implementation of electronic signature, improvement of broadband access, improvement of the quality of customer services, etc...

These areas remain at the heart of the Government's vision for a secure and inclusive digital future. Together, we must continue to promote the highest standards in terms of quality of services, security and efficiency that can ensure the trust of users and all players in our sector.

Despite security problems, the determination and desire to work together for the development of the telecommunications and ICT sector throughout the country remains for CONATEL the main source of inspiration for its commitment and future successes. The establishment of the Monitoring Committee for the Resilience of Telecommunications Networks is a perfect example.

On behalf of all CONATEL staff, and on my own behalf, I wish all suppliers and consumers of telecommunications and ICT services in Haiti a fruitful year 2024 for the benefit of all !
