iciHaiti - FIFA World Qualifiers 2026 : Our Grenadiers know their opponents
Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Zurich (Switzerland), the draw for the preliminary phase of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) qualifiers for the FIFA Men's World Cup in 2026 which will take place in three countries Canada, Mexico and the United States for the very first time.

Our Grenadiers placed in group C will have as opponents : Curaçao, Saint Lucia, Barbados and Aruba whom they will face in a single match in the second preliminary round, with two outings and two home matches.

The Haitian team will play, like its opponents in the group, four matches in two FIFA windows. Our Grenadiers will face Saint Lucia at home for their first match before traveling to play Barbados and Aruba on the road. They will close this 2nd round by receiving Curaçao.

The challenge is to finish in one of the first two places in the group giving access to the final qualifying round with 12 teams, divided into three groups of four.

At the end of this last phase which will be played on the basis of reciprocal visits, the three group winners will qualify directly for the FIFA World Cup, thus joining the three host countries of Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Additionally, the two best of the three runners-up will represent FIFA. In total, the Concacaf region could for the first time be represented by eight teams at the FIFA World Cup.
