The Ministry of Communication is deeply touched by the news of the death of Professor Jean St. Vil, at the age of 79, following a long illness.

Holder of a doctorate in geography, Professor Jean St. Vil taught at the State University of Haiti (UEH), notably at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS).

Writer, poet, great orator, member of the Toastmasters, Professor St. Vil is the author of numerous works and articles published in several national and international newspapers.

The country remembers a passionate Professor, mastering the art of communication, open, generous and always available to share his knowledge with others and help students take new steps in their training.

The Ministry salutes the memory of this scholar and presents its condolences to the family, relatives, friends of Professor Jean St. Vil, as well as to all his students and members of the academic community.
