The South-East Haitian National Police arrested Patrick Dimanche, alias "Tirès", an influential active member of the Canaan gang, during a police intervention in Jacmel.

Originally from Pestel (Dept. of Grande Anse), Patrick Dimanche declared that he took refuge in Jacmel, following the death of two of his comrades Petit-Frère, alias "Black", and "Le Plus Top" both influential members of the Canaan gang

In addition, he confessed to having been involved in the assassination of police officer Étienne Echo by members of the Canaan Gang.

The South-East Police Department reiterates its commitment to putting out of harm's way any individual seeking refuge in this department, after having committed acts of banditry in other cities in the country.
