The Dominican Government evacuated from Haiti 27 of its citizens (18 men, 7 women and 2 minors) who had voluntarily asked to leave, due to the situation of violence and increasing insecurity...

These are Dominicans who were in Haiti and who requested to be evacuated due to the difficulty of leaving the neighboring country by ordinary channels. Three helicopters from the Dominican Air Force participated in the operation.

These Dominicans landed at the military heliport of Jimaní, province of Independencia, where they were received by personnel and military officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX)

Subsequently, most of them were transferred by land to MIREX where protocol officers and family members awaited them. Others were taken to different provinces of the country.
