Two businessmen, an American Attie Jann and a French Theard Jean-Luc Cyril fled Haiti through the Anse-à-Pitre/Pedernales border post after their business, a car rental company, where they also sold vehicles and other property in the Haitian capital was attacked, looted and burned...
The Dominican authorities received them and registered them at the biometric center. Both men said they were going to return to their home country. According to them, foreigners are leaving Haiti in terror, fleeing the looting, theft and murders perpetrated by armed gangs.
