The Ministry of the Environment, through the National Institute of Water Resources (INARHY), would like to remind you that March 22 is dedicated to the celebration of World Water Day. This year, the theme of the celebration is "Water for Prosperity and Peace".

In collaboration with schools, universities and Farmer Community Organizations, several activities are planned to mark this day several awareness activities : conference-debates, documentary screenings in addition, the inauguration of three solar photovoltaic pumping systems is planned in the North and North-East departments. Finally, a video competition will be organized in synergy with the Water Resilience Center (CRE), for graduating students in civil engineering and hydrogeology from the University of Limonade.

As part of this celebration, two activities should also be noted that are already underway. These activities involve planting 10 thousand seedlings, detecting aquifers and pumping tests across the municipalities of Ouanaminthe, Terrier Rouge, Ferrier and Limonade.
