Electricity of Haiti (EdH) informs its customers that the rationing recorded in the electricity distribution in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince is largely due to the dry season which considerably reduces the level of the lake (only 161.29 m) allowing the turbines of the Péligre power station to turn.

In addition, 4 substations and the Varreux Centrale vandalized by armed individuals https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41911-haiti-flash-4-substations-and-the-varreux-power-plant-partially-destroyed-and-totally-dysfunctional.html have negatively affected the Company's already precarious production capacity.
