The Dominican Army, during operations and patrols, intercepted and arrested in 24 hours 109 Haitian migrants in an irregular migratory situation in the Provinces of Dajabón and Monte Cristi alone.

30 Haitians (23 men, 5 women and 2 minors) were intercepted in Dajabón and handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for their subsequent repatriation.

The same day, in different sectors of the province of Monte Cristi, 79 illegal Haitians (56 men, 18 women and 8 minors) were intercepted

As the crisis in Haiti worsens, every day at least a hundred Haitians attempt to illegally enter the Dominican Republic in the Dajabón / Monte Cristi area, attempts that soldiers of the Dominican Army and the Specialized Corps of Land Border Security (Cesfront) deployed at the border are trying to thwart.
