iciHaiti - Weather : An American helicopter bound for Haiti makes an emergency landing in Monte Cristi

Tuesday April 17, 2024, an American Sikorsky S-61 helicopter registered N907CH operating for the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, coming from the island of Providenciales to Cap-Haitien was forced to make an emergency landing at the "Osvaldo Virgil" airport in San Fernando de Monte Cristi (Northwest of the Dominican Republic) due to bad weather conditions according to the Dominican authorities.
There were two passengers and four crew members on board, the landing went well and the passengers and crew members were safe.
Note that this helicopter is being used to evacuate American citizens from Haiti due to increasing insecurity.
