iciHaiti - FAES : Donation of a 375 KVa generator to La Paix Hospital

As part of the Safety Net Extension Program for vulnerable people, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) donated a generator with a capacity of 375 KVA to the La Paix university hospital, the most requested hospital center in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince since this crisis significantly affecting access to medical services and care.

This new generator, operational since April 19, strengthens the hospital's energy capacities, thus guaranteeing the continuity of care, in particular the regular operation of oxygen concentrators, the efficient conduct of surgical operations and the execution of more emergency cases, including cesarean sections and gunshot wounds.

Jean Philippe Lerbourg, the Medical Director, expressed his gratitude to the FAES for this equipment which will undoubtedly help save more lives "We no longer risk being in the dark [...] We can now function fully and at all times."
