The National School Canteen Program (PNCS) salutes the work of valiant Haitian farmers, on the occasion of May 1st, Agriculture and Labor Day

This year, Agriculture and Labor Day cannot be celebrated as usual, given the increased insecurity in the country, particularly in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.

The PNCS, as an institution coordinating activities related to school feeding in the country, wants to pay a vibrant tribute to the farmers/planters who, despite the current situation, work tirelessly to enable not only the population to find something to eat but also to make quantity and quality of food products available to the PNCS and its partners who make local purchases to supply the canteens of school establishments

In this circumstance, the PNCS salutes the courage of farmers and "madan sara" and reiterates its commitment to the advancement of the agricultural sector with a view to promoting national production. It wishes the tireless producers in the different cities of the country to continue working in order to provide foodstuffs for preparing meals for schoolchildren.
