iciHaiti - Exhibition : «Haiti : Africa in the Caribbean» at the Museum of America in Madrid

Haitian Vodou and naive art arrive at the Museum of America in Madrid (Spain) thanks to the first exhibition of Haiti in a Spanish public museum "Haiti : Africa in the Caribbean" organized by the "Museo de América" in collaboration with Karel's Gallery and the Haitian Embassy in Spain.
Seventeen colorful bucolic scenes in a naive style and a voodoo altar to discover until September 22, 2024 and which, in the words of the curator, are a "great reflection of the secrets" that Haiti conceals.
The Ambassador of Haiti, Guy Lamothe, celebrated this anniversary and assured that naive art represents a "world of original, innovative and complex creations" that the Spanish public will now have "the satisfaction of discovering" adding "I'm part of those who believe that culture is the fabric on which it is possible to weave the future of a country. Haitian art, voodoo art, the art of street painters are found here today with Spain and its society."
