Dr. Yvrose Chrysostome, Director of Health Services Organization (DOSS) of the Ministry of Public Health, informs that between March and April 2024, no less than 34 health institutions (public and private) are closed due to looting and/or fires.

Around a hundred other health structures spread across the Metropolitan Area of Port-au-Prince and the communes of Gonâve, Arcahaie, Cornillon, Croix-des-Bouquets, Fermathe, Léogâne and Petit -Goâve, are operating slowly due to problems with the supply of inputs, energy supply, forced absenteeism of staff and insecurity preventing patients from arriving at service delivery points.
