Organized by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Short Édition, this literary competition aims to encourage writing and reading in French through short works. For its 6th edition, the prize jury will be chaired by the Romanian-Congolese author Annie Lulu.

The RFI – AUF Prize for Young Writing is open to French speakers from around the world aged 18 to 29. They must be registered in one of the AUF member establishments or at the École de Management de la Francophonie.

To participate in this edition, their fictional story must have a maximum of 8,000 characters (including spaces) and must begin with: "Is it up to me, an old woman, to teach you courage ?", extract from the novel “Paine des” by Annie Lulu.

Two works will be awarded :

- the Public Prize will reward the one which has received the greatest number of votes from Internet users among a selection of the best works;

- the Jury Prize will crown the work elected by a jury of professionals with a particular attachment to the Francophonie, chaired this year by the novelist Annie Lulu.

Calendar :

Deadline for sending texts : June 16, 2024!

From July 1st to 7, Internet users will be invited to read and then vote for their favorite text.

The winners of the public and jury prizes will be revealed on July 8, 2024
