iciHaiti - Training : 461 young professionals received their certifications
As part of the "Temporary Social Safety Net and Skills for Youth" project, 461 young people, girls and boys aged 16 to 29 (32% girls and 68% boys) received their professional certifications in electricity, masonry and plumbing after 11 months of training (5 months of intensive training and 6 months of practical internships in companies).

This project is an initiative of the Haitian Government through the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), implemented by the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

"Their determination and hard work have paid off, and we are proud to see them ready to enter the professional world. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this success. Together, we help Haitian youth to empower themselves and build a better future for themselves," declared the FAES

During this training, young people had the opportunity to learn trades such as electricity, masonry and plumbing. In addition to technical skills, they also learned skills to behave better and engage constructively with others.

The project's training courses were designed to enable them to secure a job, start a small business and above all, contribute positively to their communities.
