Wednesday June 26, 2024 around 4:00 a.m., a group of 118 Haitian migrants in an irregular migratory situation aboard a sailboat, docked illegally in Key West, Florida, declared Samuel Briggs Acting Chief of the American Border Patrol who with partners responsible for enforcing federal laws, arrested illegal immigrants

Local emergency medical services were on site to assess the health of the illegal immigrants, their conditions were not communicated

Authorities did not say how they were alerted to the arrival of the migrants, but Briggs said the Border Patrol responded very quickly.
