Minister Brignol was received by Dr. Jean Philippe Lerbourg, Medical Director of the HUP. For almost an hour, the Minister and his delegation toured all the departments of the Hospital and noted that the HUP is functioning. "Managers are making a lot of effort to keep the establishment functional despite the drastic increase in occupancy rate. However, certain services deserve to be improved and other spaces to be developed," declared the Minister who believes that a focus must be placed immediately on the space reserved for residents and interns with a view to offering them a framework more pleasant life. Furthermore, the restoration of security in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince is essential to facilitate the decongestion of the HUP so that it can continue to offer quality services to patients.
