Due to the heat wave (with temperatures up to 38°C - 100°F) that has been raging across the country for several days, the Haiti Hydrometeorological Unit (U.H.M) is asking the population to:

- Protect themselves with appropriate clothing (loose, light and light-colored, etc....);

- Stay hydrated and be attentive to symptoms of heat illness;

- Check that loved ones, especially children and the elderly, are okay;

- Finally, monitor weather updates.

Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, the weather will remain dominated by a North Atlantic anticyclone and sand mist from the Sahara. As a result, windy weather and heat waves are expected to persist in Haiti during this period.
