iciHaiti - Obituary : Death of journalist André Marc Odigé
Sunday, July 28, 2024, senior journalist André Marc Odigé, Director of Information for the National Radio of Haiti (TNH), died at the age of 65 after devoting 25 years of his life to the service of the Haitian press.

Reactions are multiplying following the announcement of his death:

Association of Haitian Journalists (AJH) :

The AJH says it is saddened by this death and expresses its sympathy to the family and loved ones of the deceased. The Secretary General of the AJH salutes the memory of the deceased known for his integrity, humility, dedication to the search for information and commitment to the truth.

Union of Journalists of Northern Haiti (UJNH) :
The UJNH is devastated by the loss of career journalist André Marc Odigé and sends its sympathies to all his former collaborators at Radio Nationale during this time of sadness. "André Marc Odigé was known for his professional rigor and integrity throughout his career as a journalist. From Radio Nationale d'Haïti (RNH) to Radio Pacific, he always distinguished himself and was noticed in the tasks he accomplished with love. André Marc Odigé has passed away, but he will remain alive through the generations of journalists he trained and supervised."

Ministry of Communication :
The Ministry salutes the departure of André Marc Odigé, an experienced, humble professional journalist with a keen sense of observation.
