iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : CONATEL closes 2 radio stations
The Executive Body of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) informs that following a complaint from the National Office of Civil Aviation (OFNAC) regarding radio interference received on its aeronautical links in Cap-Haïtien, the General Directorate of CONATEL dispatched a technical team to this city to try to resolve this problem.

The technical analyses carried out identified two FM radio stations, causing interference with the control tower of the Cap-Haïtien airport. CONATEL deemed it necessary to close them:

- Radio Oxygène FM, broadcasting on 90.9 MHz
- Radio Lestomak FM (a pirate station) broadcasting on the frequency 98.7 MHz

In addition, the station "CH AMEN" broadcasting on the frequency 90.7 MHz was ordered to make corrections to its installations, to improve the quality of its signal.

The General Directorate announces that the control tower of the Cap-Haïtien International Airport is now functioning perfectly without interference according to the report of its technical team.
