At the initiative of the Departmental Directorate of the North of the Ministry of Tourism, an emergency meeting was held last week to address the crucial issue of strengthening security at the National Park. The Ministry of Tourism of Haiti aims to coordinate public sector efforts to better organize tourist guide services, thus ensuring the safety of visitors, whether local or foreign. This approach is part of the priorities of the Ministry, which seeks to improve the supply of public services in the tourism sector.

The meeting brought together several key stakeholders, including Marie-Lourdes Trott of the Ministry of Tourism, engineer Neat Achille of the Institute for the Preservation of National Heritage (ISPAN), David Toussaint of the Ministry of Culture, and Desforges Phirosner of the Milot City Hall.

The discussions focused on several key points, including strengthening the police presence in strategic areas, organizing entry fees in collaboration with the authorities, establishing a management plan for the control and development of the park, and creating a residential area for local residents.
