iciHaiti - Diplomacy : Videoconference with Mexico

On Monday, Septembre 2nd, 2024, Alicia Bárcena, the Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a videoconference call with the Prime Minister of Haiti, Garry Conille and Chancellor Dominique Dupuy, to discuss issues of common interest in the bilateral relationship and promote global cooperation initiatives in favor of Haiti.

The opportunity also to extend an invitation to the inauguration of the President-elect on June 2nd, 2024, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum, former Head of Government of Mexico City (2018-2023) who will officially take office as head of Mexico next October.

Chancellor Alicia Bárcena reiterated the support offered to the brotherly people of Haiti by the Government of Mexico, led by outgoing President Andrés Manuel who will leave office on October 1st.

Also participating in this videoconference alongside the Mexican Chancellor were the Directors General Imanol Belausteguigoitia and Daniel Cámara Avalos, as well as the Head of Office Martín Alonso Borrego Llorente and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Mexico in Haiti Jesús Cisneros.
