On Monday, November 11, 2024, the presence of members of the "Viv Ansanm" coalition, circulating heavily armed in the streets, sowed panic in the capital. Sporadic bursts of automatic weapons were reported, among others, in Delmas 17, 19 and 24, on the airport road and in Tabarre.

Attacks were also reported, among others, in Vivy Mitchell, Tabarre and Croix-des-Bouquets near the Société Nationale des Parcs Industriels (SONAPI) and not far from Carrefour Nazon

The Police, who deployed a large security force and numerous armored vehicles, confronted these bandits on several fronts, causing intense exchanges of fire.

Gunshot wounds were reported in the Carrefour Drouillard area, near SONAPI among others, but verifications are impossible and no official report is available

All activities have been paralyzed in the lower part of Delmas, in particular from Delmas 24 and 19 to the Delmas 32 crossroads.
