On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the opening of the Montreal Book Fair, Canada Post unveiled new stamps that pay tribute to emblematic figures of French-Canadian literature.

In addition to Haitian-born Canadian academic Dany Laferrière https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14007-haiti-literature-dany-laferriere-received-his-academician-s-sword.html , these stamps honor four other authors for their exceptional contribution to French-language literature in Canada. From now on, the portraits of Marie-Claire Blais, Jean Marc Dalpé, Dany Laferrière, Antonine Maillet and Marguerite-A. Primeau will travel across Canada.

The Embassy of Haiti in Canada enthusiastically welcomes this final tribute from Canada to Dany Laferrière.
