The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC) has become aware of worrying information relating to the misuse of equipment allocated to public infrastructure projects in the South-East Department. This equipment was allegedly used for personal purposes to the detriment of the general interest.

Aware of the serious repercussions of such practices on the safety and quality of public infrastructure, as well as on the integrity of the Ministry's operations, Minister Raphaël Hosty has decided to act with the utmost diligence and set up a Commission of Inquiry to examine the facts and identify those responsible. This Commission has 72 hours to submit its detailed report.

Minister Hosty reiterates his unwavering commitment to ethics, the pillars of his public action and his desire to ensure that materials and equipment are used wisely.
