iciHaiti - Floods : The Government mobilizes to help the victims

The Government expresses its solidarity with the victims of the recent floods in the North, South and Grand’Anse departments.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) and the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC) have been mobilized to urgently distribute food and hygiene kits.

This is a first initiative to help people affected by the recent bad weather that has severely affected 3 departments of the country. Food aid is essential to support vulnerable populations.

With 14,000 food kits being distributed, including 9,000 for the North, 2,000 for the South, and 3,000 for Grand’Anse, these distributions will help alleviate the suffering of the victims.
