On Thursday, December 19, 2024, the presentation of the 2023 health statistics report took place in the presence of Dr. Duckenson Lorthe Blema, Minister of Public Health, Dr. Gabriel Thimothé, Director General of the Ministry, the Deputy Representative of the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Haiti, Dr. Symplice Mbolla Mbassi, several technical and financial partners of the Ministry as well as several Central Directors and executives.

Dr. Jean Patrick Alfred, Director of the Study and Programming Unit (UEP) and Dr. Etzer Denis, from the Directorate of Epidemiology of Laboratories and Research (DELR), jointly presented the 2023 health statistics report.

During his speech, the Minister of Health expressed his appreciation for the excellent work carried out by the UEP and the DELR in collecting and analyzing the 2023 health statistics data. The Minister emphasized that this report constitutes a compass to guide future actions, by identifying health needs, priority strategies and the financing necessary to improve the health status of the population.
