Cap-Haitien, Message of solidarity : "It is with immense sadness and deep emotion that we learned of the tragic attack that occurred in the 'Vieux Carré' in New Orleans during the New Year's celebrations. An act of senseless violence, which cost the lives of 14 people and injured 35 others. The Municipal Commission of Cap-Haïtien expresses its solidarity with the city of New Orleans in these painful moments. Indeed, the city of Cap-Haitien in this painful ordeal, strongly condemns this attack. Our thoughts and prayers go to the bereaved families, the injured, as well as the residents of New Orleans who must overcome this tragedy. In these difficult times, we want to assure you of our moral support and our fraternity. The historical and cultural ties that unite our two cities remind us that, in the face of adversity, solidarity remains our greatest strength.
