iciHaiti - Health : The Mayor of Port-au-Prince commits to MSF
Under the leadership of Mayor Ralph Youri Chevry, the Port-au-Prince City Hall met on January 22, 2025, with the organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to discuss the measures necessary for the sustainability of the activities of their Turgeau Emergency Center located on Charles Sumner Avenue.

At the initiative of the city hall, this meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions after the recent reopening of the MSF medical center on Tuesday, January 21 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-44118-haiti-news-zapping.html .

The Port-au-Prince City Hall is committed to ensuring optimal security conditions in the area, while ensuring a healthy environment conducive to the provision of medical care.

Since its reopening, the Turgeau emergency center plans to accommodate up to 80 people per day. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to serving the population, despite the many challenges it faces in the capital.

The City of Port-au-Prince said it was determined to support all initiatives that promote access to health services for citizens of the municipality and surrounding areas, thus strengthening the fundamental right to health.
