On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Radio France International (RFI) revealed the names of the 10 finalists for the Prix découvertes RFI 2025, which has been showcasing new musical talents from the African continent since 1981.

Joyce Babatunde (Cameroon)

Yewhe Yeton (Benin)

The name of the winner will be announced on February 18, 2025, following the meeting of a jury composed of experts and chaired by Angélique Kidjo, a major figure in international music.

The winner will receive a prize of 10,000 euros (creation aid), a concert broadcast on RFI and a series of concerts in Africa, in partnership with the French Institute.
