iciHaiti - Jacmel : 2nd pre-carnival day, significant security measures

Sunday, January 26, 2025, Divisional Commissioner Jean Gabriel Gabart, Acting Departmental Director of the South-East Police, organized a strategic meeting on the security measures to be adopted to allow the population to enjoy this cultural event with complete peace of mind and serenity.
For the second pre-carnival day, the South-East Departmental Directorate mobilized several specialized units of the Haitian National Police including the Law Enforcement Unit (UDMO), the Departmental Service of the South-East Judicial Police (SDPJ-SE), the Firefighters and the administrative police officers to ensure the smooth running of the carnival activities.
In addition, the multiplication of actions such as the reinforcement of patrols, routine checks and fixed points are anticipatory measures taken by the South-East Police to avoid any possible incident.
